Blackjack betting systems and their limits

Changing the next stake is different from choosing how to play a hand. Understand the distinction before evaluating a betting system.

A progression changes exposure

Martingale, 1-3-2-6 and other progressions prescribe stake sizes after outcomes. They do not change the card values or make a poor hand action correct. A finite bankroll and a table limit can interrupt a progression. The site does not recommend a staking sequence.

Repeated doubling grows quickly

Starting at one unit, six consecutive losing stakes of 1,2,4,8,16,32 total 63 units. The next prescribed stake would be 64 units. This arithmetic explains escalating exposure; it does not claim that the next hand is more likely to win.

Flat betting and basic strategy are different

A constant stake can make spending easier to track, but it does not remove the underlying uncertainty. Basic strategy concerns hand actions. A budget concerns what you can afford to lose. A chart cannot set a personal budget or turn gambling into reliable income.

Be wary of guaranteed-win claims

A pattern of stake changes is not proof of a positive expectation. Distinguish independently checked assumptions from a screenshot of one successful session. Our learning tools do not produce a profit target, bankroll plan or promise to recover losses.
