What fits this website

We consider educational ideas that make rules and decisions easier to understand. A useful pitch answers a specific reader question and states the rules or assumptions involved.

Start with the existing guides so your idea adds a useful explanation rather than repeating a page. Keep the focus on learning blackjack, understanding the limits of a model or practising a clearly defined decision. A correction with evidence is also welcome; you do not need to propose a full article.

  • Clear explanations of blackjack rules, hand types or common decision mistakes.
  • Comparisons showing how a particular rule changes a decision.
  • Learning methods, practice exercises and accessible ways to read a chart.
  • Evidence-based discussion of probability, limitations and responsible play.

Accuracy and originality

Submit your own work, cite sources for factual and mathematical claims, and distinguish assumptions from conclusions. You must have permission to use any supplied image, table or quotation.

Write an original explanation for this audience. Do not copy another article, lightly rewrite it to disguise its source, or submit work you are not entitled to license. Tell us if the draft or a substantially similar version has appeared elsewhere or is being considered by another publisher.

Use plain English, descriptive headings and examples a reader can check. Define specialist terms. For a hand or chart, state the deck count and relevant rules, and explain what the example does and does not demonstrate. Link to reliable sources close to the claims they support; distinguish a calculation, a source’s conclusion and your own interpretation.

Provide the source and permission or licence details for supplied images, tables and substantial quotations. Include useful alternative text for proposed images. A source link alone does not establish permission to reproduce someone else’s material.

Fact-check every claim, including any text drafted with automated tools. Disclose material use of AI or other writing assistance. You remain responsible for accuracy, originality and permissions. Do not send invented credentials, fabricated sources or another author’s work.

What we do not accept

Pitches should serve the reader’s understanding rather than promote a gambling product.

  • Guaranteed-win claims, loss-recovery promises or unsupported claims of profit, expertise or success.
  • Casino promotions, referral-code placements or articles designed mainly to sell backlinks.
  • Spam, bulk promotional pitches, keyword-stuffed articles or repeated submissions sent to evade a rejection.
  • Instructions for bypassing age checks, legal restrictions or account security.
  • Copied or disguised derivative content, fabricated citations, misleading comparisons, and claims that cannot be substantiated.

Send an outline first; a full draft is requested separately.

Email the contact address below with “Article pitch” in the subject line. Keep the initial message concise and include the details below. Please send an outline first rather than a large attachment.

You can also use Contact Us: choose “General question” and start your message with “Article pitch”. The form accepts text rather than file uploads, so include links to relevant sources or samples. Send a full draft only if requested; no fixed word count is required for an initial idea.

  • A working title, the reader question and what your explanation adds to the existing guides.
  • A short outline with the relevant game rules, proposed examples and key source links.
  • Your name or intended byline, a brief relevant biography and writing samples if available. Do not claim qualifications you cannot substantiate.
  • Any prior publication, writing assistance, commercial interests, proposed links, requested payment or conditions of use.

Editorial review and publication decisions

Editorial reviewRelevance, sources and clarity
Agree the termsPublication requires a separate agreement
Submitting a pitch does not guarantee acceptance or publication.

An enquiry is not a promise of acceptance, publication, payment or a response by a particular date. Publication, editing, attribution, licensing and any payment must be agreed in writing before a contribution is commissioned or published.

Pitches are assessed for relevance, originality, source quality, clarity and fit with the site’s educational purpose. A promising idea may need a narrower scope, better evidence or a draft before a decision can be made.

Draft review considers rule assumptions, worked examples, unsupported claims, permissions, disclosures and the usefulness of proposed links. We may request revisions, remove promotional material or decline a submission. Review is an editorial process, not a certification that every claim is correct.

Publication is not guaranteed, including after a draft or revision is requested. Any agreed byline, editing permissions, licence and commercial terms must be settled before publication. Sending a pitch does not transfer your copyright or authorise publication of a full article.

Links are considered for their relevance to the reader and may be omitted. No paid link, followed link, search-ranking benefit or particular link attribute is promised.

Commercial interests and disclosure

Disclose commercial connections in the first pitch, even when the proposed article is educational. Include who you represent and whether you or another party would benefit financially from publication or a proposed link.

Relevant interests include employment, consultancy, sponsorship, affiliate relationships, ownership of a mentioned service, free products or services, and payment from a third party to prepare or place the article. Identify the connected organisation and explain its involvement. Update the disclosure if circumstances change during review.

Disclosure does not make a promotional or backlink-focused submission acceptable. Hidden advertising and requests to conceal a sponsor or financial relationship are not accepted.

If an editorially suitable contribution involving a commercial relationship is accepted, that relationship must be clearly disclosed on the published page near the contribution. Any accepted sponsorship or advertising must be labelled so readers can recognise it. The wording and any commercial terms must be agreed before publication; no sponsorship placement is promised.

Information in your submission

Pitches sent by email or through the contact form are handled as enquiries. Include only the information needed to assess the idea; do not include private casino account records, identity documents or sensitive personal information.
