Know their limitsNot a prediction or gambling recommendation
The site does not assess your finances or manage wagers.

The guides, chart, calculator and practice lesson are general learning materials. They are not personal financial advice, a gambling recommendation or a service that manages money or wagers.

This website does not accept bets or deposits, hold player funds, operate casino accounts or award redeemable prizes. Its calculator looks up a starting-hand action; it does not connect to a casino or observe a game you are playing.

The information does not assess your finances, an affordable stake or whether gambling is appropriate for you. Reading a guide or completing the lesson is not a recommendation to participate in a real-money game.

No guaranteed results

A strategy decision describes an action under stated assumptions; it does not predict the next card or eliminate the possibility of losing. A practice score is a measure of that lesson, not evidence of future winnings.

The practice lesson contains eight fixed example hands and scores your first answers against its chart. It is not a simulation of a gambling session, a measure of your expected earnings or evidence that you have mastered every rule combination.

Descriptions of betting systems and card counting explain concepts. This lookup does not accept a running count, track the remaining shoe or calculate count-based betting decisions. Do not treat an article or chart as a way to recover losses.

Any real-money activity is subject to the laws, age restrictions and venue or operator rules that apply to you. The website does not verify that a particular game or use of a device during play is permitted.

Match the assumptions

The interactive lookup covers initial two-card hands for four- to eight-deck dealer-peek games with 3:2 blackjack and doubling on any initial two cards. Its settings distinguish whether the dealer hits or stands on soft 17, whether doubling after a split is allowed, and whether late surrender is available.

These assumptions matter. Single-deck or double-deck games, no-hole-card rules, different blackjack payouts, side bets and other variants are outside this lookup’s stated scope. It does not calculate the best action for every possible multi-card hand or for a known remaining deck composition.

Check the cards, dealer upcard and rule settings before using a result. After changing an input, select Show decision. A result marked Last valid result still belongs to the previous calculation, and Copy decision copies that last calculated result.

The downloadable PDF is a fixed reference for S17 (dealer stands on soft 17), DAS (doubling after a split allowed) and no surrender. Changing the on-screen chart does not change the PDF. Check the rule label on the version you print or save.

Errors and corrections

We use source references and automated checks, but that does not make the content infallible. Check the actual game rules and the cited source before drawing a conclusion. If something looks wrong, send a reproducible example through the Contact Us page.

Automated checks test defined inputs and expected answers; they do not certify every explanation or establish a prediction for a live game. Articles may simplify a topic, and third-party rules or services can change.

For a tool error, include the page URL, your two cards, dealer upcard, selected rules, displayed answer and expected answer. For a guide correction, identify the passage and a supporting reference. Contact Us provides a form and direct email.

External references

External links are provided as references. Their authors and operators are responsible for their content and services. The presence of a link does not establish an affiliation, endorsement or guarantee.

A reference to a game, operator or technique is not an assessment of that service’s licensing, fairness, availability or suitability for you. Check the relevant operator’s current rules and terms independently.
